The mission of the clinic is:
- To improve the Washington Park communities' access to medical and health-related care by providing acute medical care, social services, and referrals to longitudinal care providers
- To broaden opportunities for medical and social service students to learn about health care in a medically underserved community
The objectives of the clinic are:
- To provide immediate, accessible, and free health care services, including acute care, well-child check-ups, immunizations, health education and preventive care to infants and children in the Washington Park community
- To facilitate longitudinal care through referrals to medical, dental, and eye services, while recognizing that patients may face barriers in accessing care, such as cost and transportation
- To work with other individuals, groups, and companies committed to improving community health in order to identify and address the community's most pressing health care needs
- To recognize and address barriers patients face in accessing health care, such as cost and transportation
