About
Warrenbrook Golf Course opened in 1966 as a private club. It was purchased by Somerset County in 1978 and has been run by the Park Commission since then.
Warrenbrook is a heavily tree-lined and extremely tight course that plays at 6,372 yards and par 71 (35-36) from the longest of four sets of tees. The course winds its way up the mountain and then back down. The par-four 1st hole plays straight uphill with the par-four 16th hole coming downhill right next to it. The par-four 17th and 18th holes lie behind the clubhouse on much less severe terrain. The dogleg right 17th features a pond that must be carried on the approach shot.
While distance isn’t much of a factor at Warrenbrook, golfers face plenty of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies along with a few blind shots. While the fairways offer relatively few flat lies, the smallish greens are generally mild, save for severely sloping surfaces on the 1st, 7th, and 15th holes.
Warrenbrook is located at 500 Warrenville Road in Warren Township, less than five minutes from Route 22. It has two practice greens and a small area with a target green to practice pitches. A golf shop and snack bar are available in the clubhouse.
