About Us :
In 1954, residents of Wahkiakum County established a historical society to preserve and protect the unique historical artifacts of the area’s rapidly disappearing culture. As a result, the Wahkiakum County Historical Museum was built in 1959 and has been displaying items donated by local people ever since. This includes:

Fishing, Logging, and Farming tools
Native American artifacts
Military items dating back as far as the Civil War
Kitchen cookery and dinning flatware
Children's toys and school items
