Mission

The mission of the Wabash Carnegie Public Library is to provide service of excellent quality to all residents and taxpayers of the library district in order to meet the cultural, educational, informational, and recreational needs of the community. Service shall be given by providing convenient access to information, facilities, programs, and materials, in various formats. The library will continue to evaluate and update these services to meet changing needs.

The public library serves each patron as an individual and no person shall be deprived of service because of race, religious creed, political affiliation, or for any other reason except for the violation of policies laid down by the Board of Trustees.

The library staff is committed to giving fast, competent service in a courteous, efficient manner in accordance with library policies and procedures.

The Wabash Carnegie Public Library is a tax supported service organization operating under the Indiana Library Law of 1947 and its amendments, and the Library Services Authority Act of 1967.
