The Vin du Lac Estate is 34 acres of prime orchard land first farmed in the 1920's.  We still farm 10 acres of apples, but in 2002 we planted "Michaela's Vineyard", named after Vin du Lac Muse, Michaela Markusson.  A dozen varietals were planted as Larry experimented to learn what would best suit the Lake Chelan climate and terroir.  

Approximately 25 tons of wine grapes are harvested from Michaela's Vineyard each year.   Vin du Lac also sources fruit from several other vineyards in the Lake Chelan AVA, Wahluke Slope and the Yakima Valley.
