Valparaiso University Planetarium

Valparaiso University, 1700 Chapel Drive
Valparaiso, IN 46383

The Planetarium in the Neils Science Center provides a teaching and outreach avenue at Valparaiso University. The planetarium is used with introductory astronomy lab courses as well as in the bi-weekly astronomy public outreach. When adverse weather prevents the use of the observatory on scheduled public open house nights, the planetarium is used to give the public a tour of the night sky for the current time of year, specifically, identifying and locating constellations, planets, and other astronomical objects. Groups may also request private night sky planetarium programs, typically scheduled prior to public programs on scheduled open house nights.
