The goal of the University YMCA is to help people study and work toward enriched human living and a free and just society. This is accomplished through a variety of community service programs centered around the needs of youth.

In this task we seek to attract and unite in active service, individuals of all faiths and backgrounds to form a community of young people committed to promoting personal growth and leadership.

YMCA volunteers develop these skills by operating programs that think globally and act locally. All programs are initiated and run by student volunteers. Other members of the community are welcome.Students with ideas for new service programs are invited to use the University YMCA as a format for developing their ideas into volunteer opportunities.
