CAMPING
Unicoi State Park and Lodge is a camper’s paradise. Nature, privacy, group structures, picnic shelters, primitive campsites and luxury RV/camping sites are just of a few things we offer at Unicoi State Park and Lodge. No matter how you like to enjoy nature, we’re glad you’re here.
We have many campsites and arrangements to choose from including ADA sites and Buddy Hook-up sites, 30-foot and 40-foot RV sites and sites designed for family tent camping. All of our powered sites are suitable for tent, trailer and RV campers. Comfort stations are located nearby for your convenience. We are a pet-friendly State Park and we welcome your canine companion to visit and camp out with you; all dogs must be kept on a short sturdy leash at all times.
Our full hookup RV sites include water, power and sewer, a fire ring, grill and picnic table. Other choice camping sites have water, power, basic campsite amenities and a convenient dump station located nearby. We also offer walk-in camping sites that have both privacy and convenience with comfort stations, nearby parking and a playground.
Bring your hammock or just a sleeping bag and sleep under the stars at our one-of-a-kind Squirrel’s Nest primitive camping platforms. It’s a favorite spot for groups of adventurers that really want to experience the wild and do it themselves. The Squirrel’s Nest is a lightweight backpacker’s dream setting- the forest, the stars, minimal modern comforts- just you, your buddies and Mother Nature, another adventure awaits! AREA ATTRACTIONS
The mountains of north Georgia lure tourists with season changes and outdoor activities. Nearby towns of Helen, Sautee Nacoochee, Dahlonega and Cleveland play host to cultural festivals, historical sites and great events like Oktoberfest and the Annual Hot Air Balloon Race. Explore natural wonders at neighboring Anna Ruby Falls, a spectacular double waterfall named for the daughter of Captain John Nichols, a local historic figure with ties to the legendary Sautee Nacoochee Indian Mounds.
Have some fun shopping in alpine Helen with over 400 shops, restaurants, and boutiques filled with handmade gifts and goodies. Explore the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River by kayak or on a tube through downtown. Fish for trophy trout in the regions cool mountain streams.
