Tranquility History

In 1983 my husband, Bill, and I bought a farm with an 1830's farmhouse to restore - a long held dream. We chose the name Tranquility - symbolic of both the feeling of our land and the home that has always been our refuge. During the initial two years of the restoration we planted the first of 12,000 Christmas trees - establishing Tranquility Tree Farm.  Our vision was for families to come together - as in olden days during thus blessed season - to choose and cut a Christmas tree enjoying this special time while sipping a cup of hot cider. Tranquility Tree Farm opened in 1991 with the addition of a haywagon as transportation to our 1800's barn which houses a quaint gift shop!
