With a rich history, dating back to the year 1778, Auburn is the site of countless relics of the past, from colonial houses and cemeteries to museums containing artifacts from days gone by. Since its founding, over a hundred and 50 years ago, Auburn has grown both residentially and commercially, while retaining a magnificent landscape of some of the valleys most bountiful farmland and scenic views.

The Town of Auburn is a vibrant community located in the heart of Central Massachusetts at the crossroads of several major State and Interstate roadways. Due to its strategic location, the Town is attractive to businesses and residents who can reach over 1 million people within a 25 mile radius and 6.7 million within 50 miles. Auburn’s population is 16,188, with a day time population that swells to an estimated 32,498. 

Auburn has a strong commercial/industrial base consisting of diverse industry sectors including manufacturing, distribution, retail and service. Housing opportunities consist primarily of single family homes while the owner-occupied rate remains very high, indicative of a stable residential base.
