Tickner's Moose River Paddling Trails is a family-owned and operated business since 1979. It originated out of our families' enthusiasm for canoeing, kayaking and our love of the Adirondacks. With three generations of Tickner's active in daily operations, and as the original Moose River outfitter, we openly share our knowledge of the river, Old Forge and surrounding areas with locals and visitors alike.

In 1994, Tickner's partnered with the Adirondack Scenic Railroad and pioneered our exclusive River & Rail trip down the pristine Middle Branch where you and your boat travel back to town via rail after a 7-mile historic paddle.

Whether you enjoy paddling from our dock for an hour or two or get shuttled upstream so you can "go with the flow" down the North Branch back to our dock, Tickner's has the ideal trip for you and your family. Anyway you look at it, the Moose River is a relaxing place to spend with family and friends paddling, swimming, picnicking on sandy beaches, or viewing the Adirondack wildlife.
