Thornton's first off-leash Dog Park is located within Thornton Trail Winds Park & Open Space.

Almost 2 acres in size, the Dog Park features separate fenced play areas for large and small dogs, amenities including large tree logs for agility play, a permanent, year round source of drinking water, benches, shade trees and a separate parking lot.
