History of Thief River Falls Library:

In 1901, a group of concerned citizens discussed how they could work together to make Thief River Falls a more desirable place for people to live so that they might attract more businesses and grow as a community. One of the ideas that sprang from that meeting was to establish a library in the town to provide for the public's informational and recreational  needs. So a group banded together to form the firstlibrary board.
