The United Library

The United Library was established in 1981 when the libraries of Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary were merged. In April 2009, Garrett-Evangelical purchased the Seabury-Western interest in the collection. We invite all patrons and visitors to explore the book stacks, to use the public study spaces, and to delve into our special collections of rare items.

Mission

The mission of the United Library is to provide customer friendly support for all of the educational programming, information needs, and research requirements of both distance and resident members of the Seabury-Western and Garrett-Evangelical Seminary communities.
