About Us:

The Refuge at Jumper Creek, Inc. was started in 2006 after a community member decided to donate a large piece of property and an abandoned trailer park to founders of an established shelter located in Citrus County, FL. The need was great, and there were no established shelters in Sumter County, FL at that time. Within just a few short years, a dedicated team of community volunteers and staff were able to turn that abandoned property into one of the most innovative and cutting-edge homeless shelters in Central Florida.
