About :
The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce occupies offices in the left side of the building, but all other areas have been designed for various public activities including theatrical and musical performances, business meetings, art classes, weddings, receptions, a museum and more.

History :
The Eatonton-Putnam Arts Foundation, Inc. (EPAF) was established to renovate the Old Eatonton School, built in 1916, for use as a community arts center. The vision for doing this was accomplished in stages led by Tom Rosseter. In 1998-99 the Plaza was designed and constructed, and it has become a center for spring, summer, and fall activities. In 1999 an auditorium committee was formed to plan for what would become the central focus of the arts center, and this committee submitted a plan for the theater in 2000. In June 2001, a board of directors was formed to make further plans, and in 2005 EPAF became an official nonprofit organization. EPAF is very pleased to note that this project has been fully community based and directed with participation by hundreds of volunteers at different stages of the process, especially in providing funding Fundraising is a continuous process as funds are needed for additional equipment, technology, and programming.
