The Orpheum Theatre in Wichita, Kansas built by theatre mogul Carl Hobitzelle, opened on September 4, 1922, and was the first atmospheric theatre in the United States. We feature the best in world-class entertainment and also serve as a community asset and resource by featuring local music, dance and other entertainment, church performances, lectures, weddings, and much more. We truly are the center for the performing arts in Wichita. Come see why, after 90 years, our magic is still going strong!
