Mission:

To ensure Galesburg's historic Orpheum Theatre is authentically restored and maintained through general community support and private funding. To provide a performing arts centre that will offer quality entertainment, enhance educational and cultural opportunities and provide an additional venue for tourism and economic growth for the region.

About Us:

The Orpheum Theatre is more than bricks and mortar; more than the rich sounds of a jazz quartet or the laughter of children. Located in the heart of downtown Galesburg, Illinois, the opulent Orpheum Theatre is a monument to the spirit of Galesburg and Knox County - a love of history, the arts and community.

The Orpheum is owned by the Knox County Civic Center Authority, operated by a small staff and held together primarily by volunteers. Funding is through the generosity of local industry, small business, individuals and a 2% hotel/motel tourism tax.
