The Ontonagon Theater of Performing Arts

311 North Steel Street
Ontonagon, MI 49953

906-884-2985

The Ontonagon Theater is located on the second floor of the Ontonagon Township Memorial Building above the township library.

The auditorium can be reached by a staircase from the main entrance, an outdoor staircase on the north side of the building, or by a ramp from the south parking lot. Patrons who find stairs difficult to manage can be driven to the top of the ramp and enter the theater at floor level. To make this entrance available to anyone who may need it, the theater asks that no cars remain parked at the top of the ramp on performance days.

Although all workers at the theater are volunteers, there is an outstanding debt on the theater lights, rigging, sound equipment, dressing rooms, and other construction projects needed to make the theater operational. Any contributions toward reducing this debt would be greatly appreciated. The Ontonagon Theater of Performing Arts is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the IRS, so all donations to the theater (including chair purchases) are tax deductible.
