Our Mission :

Every word is true. We bring theatre, the most magical art form, to children across the country. It’s theatre that makes a difference in the lives of children and their parents.

Here at the National Theatre for Children (NTC), we are dedicated to educating young people on important and timely curricular subjects by offering professional live theatre to our nation’s schools. All of our productions are offered FREE to schools thanks to the support of sponsors committed to teaching important societal issues to 6-18 year old children. Our programs tackle life lessons including conservation, the environment, health care, financial literacy, smoking prevention, nutrition, recycling, bullying, and more. NTC has developed the art of teaching through a combination of live theatre, television, print and Web learning into an evidence-based science of its own. Since 1978, we have been privileged to enjoy the trust of educators and connect with students and parents. NTC routinely reaches millions of children throughout any given school year, making us the largest touring children’s theatre in the world! We get to teach, entertain and inspire. It’s creative and fun. And we’re dead serious about it.
