About Us:

The Medical Center is a 337-bed acute care hospital that offers the region’s most comprehensive services including Neuroscience Services, Primary Stroke Center, Cancer Treatment Center, Obstetrics and Neonatology, Orthopaedics, Behavioral Health Services, Surgical Weight Loss Program and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. The Medical Center also offers 

a full range of heart services including an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and the region’s only open heart surgery program.

With over 300 physicians on the Medical Staff, The Medical Center is able to provide patients access to more than 50 specialties.

The Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Commonwealth Health Corporation (CHC) which is also based in Bowling Green. CHC also operates The Medical Centers at Scottsville and Franklin as well as a long-term, acute care hospital, Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital. The combined hospitals offer 387 acute care beds and 110 extended care beds. CHC is the largest employer in Warren County with more than 3,000 employees.

As a not-for-profit healthcare system, we provide a benefit to the community that is greater than the taxes we would pay if we were a private, for-profit business. In fiscal year 2013, CHC provided $67.1 million in total benefits to our communities. Through charity care for the uninsured, contributions to various nonprofit organizations, and an abundance of community outreach programs, The Medical Center is committed to advancing our mission of caring for people and improving the quality of life for those we serve.
