Mission

Masquerade Theatre is a non-profit performance group dedicated to the growth and promotion of theatre art and culture in the City of Houston, and to the discovery, education and support of Houston performers living, working and staying in their home city.

About

Founded in 1996 by Artistic Director Phillip Duggins, The Masquerade Theatre is Houston's fastest-growing professional theater organization, and the only company to exclusively employ Houston-based talent in all aspects of performance, education and production. With the Tribble School of Professional Musical Theatre, Masquerade's production-based school for actors and dancers, Masquerade continues on a daily and yearly basis to promote a livable, workable environment for performers of all ages to hone and display their craft.

Over the past decade, the rise in demand for seats and the significant growth of audiences has necessitated the need for a larger venue, leading Masquerade to its new home - the resident musical theatre company of Zilkha Hall in the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
