The Harbor Lights Theater Company is dedicated to “illuminating the human experience” through the highest quality, professional theatrical productions and educational outreach within the borough of Staten Island, New York. We seek to establish a national presence and a reputation for excellence, thereby contributing to the renaissance of our community and enhancing its reputation.

About Us:

Based in the culturally dynamic neighborhood of Staten Island’s North Shore, the not-for-profit Harbor Lights Theater Company is committed to illuminating the human experience by bringing to the community accessible, relevant, and thought-provoking professional theatrical productions and educational programs. While still a young company, Harbor Lights has already created a new, vibrant home for New York City’s tremendous talent pool.

Founded in 2010, Harbor Lights has built a bridge between Staten Island and Broadway, bringing the nation’s best to work with their community’s finest. By presenting carefully selected material in professional productions led by professional actors, directors, designers, musicians and choreographers, HLTC offers local artists and volunteers a rare opportunity to get hands-on experience both backstage and on stage, and to witness truly great Broadway artists at work in their own backyards.

Harbor Lights operates under the belief that the health and prosperity of the arts is fundamental to the health and prosperity of the community. Having witnessed this phenomenon at work in countless other regional theaters across the country, Harbor Lights is poised to become an integral part of the North Shore’s economic and cultural renaissance.

Future plans for Harbor Lights include partnerships with other resident theater companies in co-productions, as well as co-productions with Broadway and Off-Broadway producers who wish to develop their projects in a safe and nurturing environment.
