About
Originally founded in 1991 as the Kansas City Jewish Museum Foundation, the Epsten Gallery Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit that provides innovative art exhibitions and partnerships that engage, inspire and enlighten a diverse community through all stages of life and celebrate our common humanity through art. The Epsten Gallery is a place where multi-generational communities may enrich their lives by sharing the wonder, excitement and inspiration of art visually and through hands-on experiences.
The Epsten Gallery achieves its mission through a cooperative partnership with Village Shalom, which houses its exhibition program. Additionally, the Epsten Gallery collaborates with arts and community organizations, k-12 schools, colleges and universities, artists, and museums and galleries regionally, nationally and internationally. Through these relationship and its affiliation with the Kansas Art Therapy Association, Epsten Gallery establishes an ever-expanding sphere of awareness with other venues by facilitating participation in its ARTicipation program to share cultural, educational, and exhibition resources as well as art-therapy based workshops and community art events.
