Since the foundation of our collections in 1939, we have been a hub for exploration of art. Today, we strive to serve as a generator and incubator of artistic inquiry and programs engaging students, the broader campus community, and the public.

Housed within CU Boulder's College of Arts & Sciences, it’s our vision to create the university art museum of the 21st Century with the campus and broader communities. It's our mission to become a vital player in creating a university culture in which art, creativity, intercultural understanding, and research advance all disciplines in contribution to society.
