About:

Located in Bethlehem, New Hampshire in the heart of The White Mountains, The Colonial Theatre is one of the oldest continuously operated movie theatres in the country. When The Colonial opened its doors in 1915, the era of the Grand Hotels was in full swing and Bethlehem was a premier destination resort. Because of its sophisticated clientele The Colonial quickly became a venue for studios to test market their films. Operations of The Colonial were undertaken by the Friends of The Colonial in 2001.

Since that time the historic 300 seat Colonial Theatre has presented nationally acclaimed artists in an intimate theatre setting, independent and world cinema, quality family entertainment and community events to residents and visitors to The White Mountains from May–November. The Colonial Theatre is on The New Hampshire list of historic places.
