The Beaver Brook Trail [white] beginning in Mahlon Dickerson Reservation extends south into Rockaway River WMA. The trail actually continues on to its ending (or beginning) at Berkshire Valley Rd in Jefferson, at the corner of Taylor Rd. Best bet is to purchase the Trail Conference's Jersey Highands map set linked above.
With new beaver activity at the top of the hill at the power line crossing (displayed on Web Map referenced above) - the trail crossing can be flooded.
It's reported the best part of a hike along Beaver Brook Trail south from Mahlon Dickerson is to Lost Lake.
