About Us:

The Arcada Theatre was built by local millionaire Lester J. Norris in 1928.

The Arcada became known as one of the outstanding vaudeville houses in the Fox River Valley. Many stars appeared there, including George Burns and Gracie Allen, Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy, Olivia DeHavilland, the John Phillip Sousa Band, Cornelia Otis Skinner, Vincent Price, Jeanette McDonald, Walter Slezak and Maria Von Trapp.

Years later the Arcada Theatre has transformed into a Performing Arts Center. The Arcada is dedicated to providing St. Charles and the Chicago land areas a true "showcase of the arts" that both entertains and educates the public. Our goal is to provide a wide variety of arts and entertainment, in a unique style that you can't find anywhere but The Arcada Theatre!
