The Aberdeen Room

18 North Howard Street
Aberdeen, MD 21001

410-273-6325

Incorporated in 1991 as a non-profit organization, the Aberdeen Room is an historical and educational facility of the City of Aberdeen. Affiliated with the Harford County Historical Society and Aberdeen Appearance and Preservation Committee, the Aberdeen Room Archives and Museum was established by Charlotte Garretson Cronin in 1987. It is staffed by interested citizens who donate their time and talents to the maintenance and improvement of this facility. The nucleus of the first displays came from the office of the late Senator J. Wilmer Cronin, Aberdeen lawyer, legislator, newspaper editor and publisher. The family concept was furthered as other families searched their attics, basements and desk drawers.
