History
Tom Vandergriff Surgical TowerCommunity is the heart of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. In the 1950s, Arlington residents raised the $250,000 down payment for the original 75-bed hospital. And for more than 50 years, Texas Health Arlington Memorial has continued this community-oriented focus.
As the face of health care changes, one thing has never changed: the founding principles of commitment and dedication remain the standard of Texas Health Arlington Memorial.
In November 2007, Texas Health Arlington Memorial celebrated the grand opening of the $76 million Tom Vandergriff Surgical Tower, the largest expansion in the hospital's history. The five-story, 200,000 square foot surgical tower adds 48 new beds and 16 state-of-the-art surgical suites for inpatient and day surgery.
