Hillcrest Farm, which now contains Tennessee Safari Park, has been through many changes throughout its time, but it has always remained in the same family through hard work and perseverance.  The land was given to us by President Andrew Jackson as a land grant to settle the land of the South, we remain one of the few families that have been able to hold on to their land. Hillcrest opened its doors in 1867 as an agricultural farm.  Although it has been through very many changes and done many different aspects with the land, we still strive to give the best product our family can produce.

We began preserving these beautiful animals starting in 1967, starting with the first herd of buffalo owned in the state of Tennessee. Tennessee Safari Park thanks you for visiting us and we would enjoy having you again at any time so feel free to stop by.
