3256 Knute Road
East Tawas, MI 48730

Service Description:

Created in 1980, this concert band plays patriotic, pop, dixieland, polkas, Broadway, classical, waltzes, marches, latin, disco, and more. Our members come from Iosco, Arenac, Alcona, Ogemaw, and Bay Counties. Join us!

It is the mission of the Tawas Community Concert Band to support and encourage the performance of instrumental music in Northeastern Michigan.  During the school year, the Band presents three formal concerts in October, December, and March.  During the summer, the Tawas Community Concert Band brings back the flavor of the hometown outdoor "in-the-park" band-shell performances of years gone by. It is organized to provide a way for musicians to perform for personal satisfaction and growth; to present concerts for the enjoyment and cultural enrichment of the residents and visitors of the Tawas area, Iosco County, and surrounding communities; and to provide scholarship opportunities for area high school band students.

Musicians must provide their own instruments (except some percussion) and be able to read band literature.  No auditions!  Join us!  All rehearsals and concerts are on Monday evenings.
