Tampa Bay Storytellers Guild

The Tampa Bay Storytellers Guild invites you to share our love of storytelling. We have more than 30 members, from "featured listeners," to those who tell especially for family and friends, or those who make all or part of their living as storytellers. We help support the Tampa-Hillsborough County Storytelling Festival every April, and the Pinellas County Storytelling Festival every November, recognizing our area's youth tellers. Our Guild produces Tellabration! a world-wide storytelling event for the whole family -- in cooperation with the National Storytelling Network and the Friends of the Pinellas Park Public Library. Look for that in November, too! We have performed for area libraries, state, county, and local festivals, The Children's Museum of Tampa, First Night/St. Petersburg, hospitals, businesses, and schools, and many, many more. Membership dues are just $15 for individuals ($20 for a couple, $8 for students) a year and include 12 months of interesting programs and interactions, a monthly newsletter filled with the art and craft of storytelling, a network of tellers and listeners happy to enjoy and encourage your storytelling skills, and the chance to participate in storytelling activities in our locale and across the state. Storytelling is, literally, as old as humanity itself. We hope you'll join us in keeping this vibrant and community-building tradition alive! For info, please contact Bettylou Rosen at 727-785-3041.
