About Us:

TADA (The Arts Deserve Attention) Productions Inc. is the non-profit parent company of the TADA Theatre located in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket.  For 14 years, TADA has showcased Nebraska talent through a wide array of award winning productions and regional premieres.

TADA received national recognition working with show creators on the Midwest premiere of Jekyll & Hyde the musical and was the first independent theatrical company to be granted rights to and perform the New York block-buster Forbidden Broadway and also produced the regional premieres of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Happy Days A New Musical, The Spidey Project and Gilligan's Island the musical, working alongside legendary TV icons Sherwood and Lloyd Schwartz. TADA has received direct permission to perform songs from such theatre composers and lyricists as Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Schwartz.

TADA is a recipient of a Proclamation for Theatre Excellence from the State of Nebraska, a Mayor’s Arts Award from the City of Lincoln, and an Impact Award for downtown development from the Downtown Lincoln Association.

TADA's history has been filled with a variety of collaborative productions such as Sweeney Todd with the Nebraska Symphony Chamber Orchestra, A Cornhusker Christmas with NET radio, Big River and South Pacific with the Lincoln Choral Artists, Beauty and the Beast with Lincoln Parks and Recreation, Quilters with the International Quilt Study Center, several productions with The Lincoln Symphony Orchestra and the critically acclaimed touring production of Side By Side Sondheim that appeared at the Minden Opera House, Brownville Concert Hall and other venues across the Midwest.

 Originally created by Robert and Cris Rook as a sole proprietorship TADA Productions, Inc. became a nonprofit theatre company overseen by a Board of Directors in 2007. With a core group of theatrical artists, an ever growing patron base and an esteemed Board of Directors, TADA Productions, Inc. is now one of the fastest growing theatre companies in the Midwest and has involved hundreds of actors, students, designers and regional artists.
