T. Gilbert Pearson Audubon Society

PO Box 10157
Greensboro, NC 27404

The T. Gilbert Pearson chapter of the National Audubon Society serves Guilford County and surrounding areas in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Our chapter is named for T. Gilbert Pearson, one of the great conservationists of the early 20th century. A Greensboro resident and biology professor, Pearson founded the Audubon Society of North Carolina on the campus of the State Normal School—now UNC-Greensboro—in 1902, and went on to help create the National Audubon Society in 1905. Our chapter strives to build on Pearson’s conservation legacy.
