The Home Planetarium Association (HPA) was founded in the 90s, and Sumner Skies Planetarium soon followed - it was a love of planetariums as they used to be, not todays multi-media extravaganzas. The planetarium should be about the STARS and constellations and planets. As city lights encroach ever more and we become more and more removed from nature and the outdoors, we lose so much richness that until the past few decades was an integral part of being human.
