Summit Nature Center and Zip Line at Whitefish Mountain Resort

The Summit Nature Center is a cooperative between the Flathead National Forest and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Located on the lower level of the Summit House, the Nature Center offers a fun place for families to explore with plenty of hands-on discovery to learn about the mountain environment. Join in on a daily wildflower nature discovery walk in July and August.  

Kids have plenty to explore in the Nature Center. Sign up for the Junior Forest Ranger program for ages 7-12, complete the booklet and get a badge! Or sign out an Outdoor Adventure Pack to take outside and explore. The pack contains field guides and materials for fun activities while you're on the mountain. Kids can also draw their favorite mountain animal or plant and see how they measure up in height to different animals.
