History The Stone Ridge Public library is a special district library located on Route 209 in Stone Ridge. Located in a historic stone building, the library has been in existance since 1909. The Library is a member of the Mid-Hudson Library System. Through this system, patrons have access to materials in 65 libraries in the surrounding area. Our Library collection consists of approximately 29,000 items. These include books, periodicals, audios, videos and DVD's. Three public access computers are available for patron use. All computers have high speed internet access. Remote access to data bases is available through your library card bar-code, as well as access to the card catalog and interlibrary loan services. Children's services include after-school story hours, participation in the state wide summer reading program, and special programming throughout the year. Adult programming is set to be expanded this year. Genealogy help is available, from volunteers, by request.
