Mission:

The Mission of the River City Society for Historic Preservation is to restore, preserve, protect, and defend historic and/or architecturally significant buildings and sites in Mason City and to convince others to do the same. Also, to preserve and restore the Stockman House to its original architectural integrity, and then to subsequently have it serve as a house museum, interpreting the creativity of Frank Lloyd Wright, as a member of the Prairie School architectural movement, and to share their quest and Wright's answer to design a uniquely American middle class home without European reference and to show the relationship of Wright to his clients Dr. George C. and Eleanor Stockman.
