Stehouwer Free Clinic

History and Mission:

Stehouwer Free Clinic is a 501c3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization located in Cadillac, Michigan. The Clinic was founded in November 2001 and the first Board of Directors was elected in January 2002.  

Licensed health care providers and nurses volunteer their time caring for patients in the health clinic.  People with prescriptions from local primary care providers receive free prescription medications; pharmaceutical company guidelines apply.  

Individuals and professionals from health and human service organizations, businesses, schools, and churches provide ongoing financial support and in-kind donations.

Mission Statement:

“Our mission is to provide limited diagnostic and treatment services to economically disadvantaged individuals without health insurance in the greater Cadillac area.”
