About The Sprint Kart Speedway
The Sprint Kart Speedway started out in the early 60's as The Dusters Kart Club and continued to provide go-kart racing on the weekends until the late 80's when the Sprint Kart Speedway then moved to Friday Night racing.
This is the oldest family operated track in the Mid-West. It is a six-turn asphalt track 1/5th mile, which also offers two different oval tracks.
We have run IKF events over the years and have also been part of different series events. Rules follow both IKF and WKA with some modifications set by the track.
This is a local track, which caters to the beginners and expert drivers with one thing in mind- to have Fun! We stress family involvement.
Ages begin at 5 to 75 years old. We have formed special classes such as Ladies Only, Seniors, and Novice Only. The track has made some changes over the years but one thing stayed in place, it is a fun place to attend.
Special events included free hot dogs for every fan who attended the Fathers Day Race and a Celebrity Race which local sports personalities and disc jockeys from various radio and TV stations competed.
The Sprint Kart Speedway races a full season for points capped off by awards banquet at the end of the season, which is attended by over 125 fans and races each year.
Many racers have gotten their start at the Sprint Kart Speedway and moved onto NASCAR, Sprints, Midgets and Late Model Dirt Stock Cars.
