Spring Green Municipal Golf Course

South Lexington Street
Spring Green, WI 53588

The Spring Green Municipal Golf Course is a nine hole 2,866 yard par 36 public golf course. The course, owned by the Village of spring Green, adjoins STH 23 on the south edge of the village. The course is operated by the Spring Green Golf Club, Inc., a Wisconsin nonstock not-for-profit corporation.

The beginnings of the golf course and the golf club go back to the 1920's when the original par 33 layout was constructed and when the village appointed the golf club its agent to operate and maintain the course, a relationship which continues to this day. The first formal meeting of the golf club (which included Frank Lloyd Wright among its 37 charter members) was on April 23, 1925. The golf club operated as an unincorporated association until 1979 when the present structure was adopted.

The course is a public golf course with both annual memberships and daily fee rates. Various categories of memberships are sold which entitle the member to unlimited golf throughout the season. The club does not take or reserve tee times. Thus, except for established and posted league play and a small number of scheduled special events, members and the general public are welcome and able to play at any time.
