AARP Hearing Center
Southwest Branch was dedicated on Sunday, February 1, 1976, as the first branch constructed in the new Weber County Library System. This 5,500 square foot facility was built on land donated by Roy City. The $189,892 in construction costs came from a $79,000 federal grant matched by Weber County, and a $35,000 Bicentennial Grant.
The Southwest branch houses approximately 45,000 print and non-print items selected to support its mission to serve as a popular materials community information center. Two public computer centers, one specifically for children, and the other for people of all ages, offer access to in-house and Web-based electronic resources.
