The South Florida Museum, in accordance with its mission, endeavors to be a premier regional museum of natural and cultural history. To this end, the Museum will

- Through its exhibitions, stimulate understanding of and interest in diverse subjects in ways that combine the highest aesthetic standards with engaging and intellectually accessible presentations;

- Through its collection and conservation of scientific, historical and cultural objects, preserve a natural and social record for posterity;

- Through its educational programs, inspire curiosity and promote scientific, historical, and cultural understanding;

- Through its administration and governance, ensure the vitality of the institution through professional and fiscal policies that meet the highest standards.
