The Soldotna Regional Sports Complex is located on Kalifornsky Beach Road, just past the Sterling Highway intersection. The complex offers an Olympic sized ice rink, racquetball and wallyball courts, and a conference suite (with kitchen) capable of seating 350 guests. The City's Parks + Recreation Department is also housed within the complex.
Ice Skating
The Soldotna Regional Sports Complex hosts the Kenai River Brown Bears, the Central Peninsula's Tier II Junior A North American Hockey League.
In addition, the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex hosts the Soldotna High School and Kenai Central High school Hockey games and Regional playoffs.
Conferences & Events
Events range from state high school hockey playoffs to free public skating events. The Regional Sports Complex hosts numerous events including the Kenai Peninsula Home Builder's Show, the Safari Club International, the Kenai Peninsula Sports Recreation and Trade Show and the Kenai Classic Banquet. An on-site conference suite (with kitchen facilities) is capable of seating 350 guests. Public/Camping Facilities
Public showers are available at a fee for the many campers in the area. The showers are available Tuesday-Friday from 12:00-4:00pm for $3.00. Campers must have their own towels. A small number of camper spots are also available for rent in a small area behind the sports center.
