About Us:

In 1952, Ted Slocum and his brother Jerry, started Slocum Brothers Tree Farm. The two brothers grew the business up to where they cut over 200,000 trees per year. Nearing its 60th year in business the Slocum's are in the succession stages of the business. Ted's family is continuing in farming as Gerald's side is easing out. The assets of the farm have been split and some of the acreage sold to our neighbors. With the passing of the torch there is a time for reflection and memories. It is a time to remember days gone by and a time to look forward to the future with the energy and optimism of youth. It is the natural sequence of life.

Over the past four years, Slocum Brothers has been managed by Denise Pagura, Ted Slocum's
daughter. She relies on her son, Josh Pagura, and the expert staff that have worked on the farm for years. Steve and Denise Pagura are in the process of purchasing the farm from Denise's father, Ted. Ted, however, is still very active in the operation and is at work bright and early each day. It is a great time when the three generations have this opportunity to discuss future operations or just to figure things out on a day to day basis. We are truly blessed.

Slocum Farms, LLC is continuing in the tree business and expanding to include the balled and burlap evergreens. Slocum Farms, LLC is getting back to the families' roots in food production by diversifying its farming operation to include asparagus, corn, pumpkins and other cash crops. We will be planting fruit on some of our higher ground which at one time was planted to fruit prior to the mid 80's.

With changes in the market the need for real trees has changed considerably since the 80's and 90's. We want to make sure we are staying in sync with the market now and in the future. For the best quality trees available get your tree order in with Slocum Farms, LLC. We hope to continue to serve our valuable customers for many years to come.
