About Us
The Sierra Mono Indian Museum opened its doors in 1971. Since that time our organization has remained committed to the goal of fostering a better public understanding and appreciation of Mono Indian culture, past and present. The Museum houses one of the largest Mono Indian basket collection in the Sierras. Our collection also includes tools and artifacts, fine art, and the renown Tettelton Wildlife display in natural dioramas.
Our gift shop offers handmade crafts from local artisans. All items sold are Authentic Indian Made and range in price.
Museum hours are seasonal. Please call for information on guided tours
