Sherlock Forest Playground located on 4th Avenue NW in East Grand Forks was originally designed with the help of local elementary schools and built with community volunteer help in 2003.

On May 27, 2011, Sherlock Forest Playground was destroyed by fire leaving only a portion remaining. Devastating news for the entire community!

Penny Pape and Katie Nelson co-chaired the beautiful reconstruction of the playground, again built with community volunteer labor.

The playground and picnic shelters are kept busy by young and old throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall each year.
