This branch hosts the Shepard Academy Afterschool program in their meeting room, Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m. during the school year. Students interested in enrolling in this program should contact the branch.

Shepard Branch staff have created "Stories To Go," an outreach program where members of the Shepard Branch staff visit local schools and daycare facilities to provide storytimes for young readers.

The branch also has many computers with word processing capabilities and access to the Internet. They also provide access to an extensive collection of electronic databases, which offer a wealth of information.
