ShelterWood Farm

179 Tuxward Road
Hartly, DE 19953

Shelterwood Farm grows a total inventory of 20,000 trees, including 10,000 fir and spruce to 6 feet, and 10,000 white pine to 10 feet.

Shelterwood Farm was established in 1972, a 22-acre evergreen tree nursery. The owner is a retired Forester from the Delaware Department of Agriculture. We are Delaware Department of Agriculture Nursery Certified.

Tree species are mainly native varieties, which include pine, fir, and spruce. All trees are either grown from seed or seedlings, which are acclimated to this area. All trees are specimen trees and are sheared. The nursery site is non-irrigated, resulting in a hardy and drought resistant tree.
